The team is made up of a range of mental health professionals such as psychologists, psychiatrists, family therapists, nurses and others. The service provides treatment and further assessment for young people experiencing significant emotional and mental health concerns. The service offers a range of evidence based talking therapies.
The service uses a recovery approach and aim to support development of skills to help cope and start on the journey of feeling better. On average young people are seen for 4-12 sessions and regular reviews are held to check on progress.
The service also offers Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) assessment for straightforward cases of ADHD without comorbidity more complex cases would require referral to the Neurodevelopmental service.
